Gee, why is it that this “growing debt(!)” was not of particular interest while Reagan, then Bush I, then Bush II were doing nothing but raising the debt? And now that a democrat has miraculously found his way into the White House… “the debt MUST be paid back ASAP or we’re doomed!” For how long are democrats going to have to keep sacrificing their presidencies to pay off republican debt? (Which is very good strategy BTW.)

Well Lincoln-the house-Senate-has been Democratic for 6 yrs. now. Who do you think has spent more money. This President has spent more money than all of the other Presidents combined.

    • Jcchipman

Lincoln, do a tiny bit of research. Democrats have, in significant numbers, essentially run both the house and senate since the 40′s except a very brief period of time after 1995. Do the research. It is staggering what has been added to the debt in just the last two years. Bush took office after the 2000 market bubble burst, then faced the devastation of the Twin Towers terrorist act after Bill Clinton squandered his opportunies to capture or kill bin Laden, then Bush behaved like a democrat and pushed the Medicare Drug plan, which even tho it wasn’t generous enough for Democrats, the crucified him and republicans for, then faced the housing bubble burst caused by years of democrat housing policies which wildly inflated housing prices. Do your own honest research with you eyes wide open.

your an idiot. there was a surplus when reagan left office. And in case you didn’t know it the Bushes were liberals too. So looks like you are criticizing your own.

    • Jeffcgavin

I agree that republicans have a lot to do with the debt and Bush II started this ball rolling big time, But hold on a minute, This democrat that sits in the WH is responsible for more debt than most of all the previous presidents put together ever held. It’s not his money yet he considers it his privilege to divvy oodles of money and debt onto future generations without any thought on what harm it will cause them. You’ve got to be very far sided to not look at this president and complain about republicans and not criticize his irresponsible policies. So yes there is an outcry for reducing the debt as fellow tea partiers have raised, and as we teeter on bankruptcy the cries will get even louder until ‘the peoples’ voices are heard.

    • ROBB55

Didn’t you forget someone in between the two Bushs? I would remind you that Democrats had seizures ovwer the deficits when everytime a Republican was president, so I wouldn’t run around throwing stones (in your glass house and all). Besides, this president is so far out of control compared to ALL the others we need not even mention them and that includes Clinton. His defidit spending is going to support the mother of all ponzi schemes (Obamacare). We will never be able to climb out of the hole it will create.

Congress appropriates funding not the president.

If the liberals had it their way, we would spend until we attain junk status for our bonds, and then Europe would reverse acquire us.
