With profound sadness I advise that Thomas Roeser, long a lion of the conservative movement in Chicago and nationally, died today. Tom was 82.
For many years Tom hosted a Sunday evening talk show on WLS-Radio in Chicago; his last evening in the chair for that broadcast was two weeks ago, on May 15th.
He adapted to new media and authored a daily blog, “On the Other Hand.”
He was a mainstay of many worthy organizations over the years, including the United Republican Fund of Illinois and the City Club of Chicago. He was the founding Chairman of Catholic Citizens of Illinois.
For many years he headed the government affairs department of Quaker Oats Company.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
