The Occupy Wall Street Movement — which President Obama and the Democratic leadership in Congress has embraced as their own, as their voice — is exactly like the Tea Party movement …
Except for blocking a man who just wants to get his 2-year-old in the back seat home for the night. Except for the bullying of mothers with families of young children.
Oh, and except for knocking down old ladies — and mocking them while they lay in pain. (Video below from the Daily Caller’s coverage of this week’s Americans for Prosperity gathering in DC. WARNING: Lots of profanity.)
This is the Occupy Wall Street movement.
If such a thing happened at a single one of several hundred Tea Party rallies and protests, it would have led the news for days on all networks — including Fox News. The media would have tarred the entire Tea Party movement with such thuggish and violent behavior, and made every Republican who got within 300 feet of a microphone or camera answer for it.
But the OWS movement is an expression of the American left. And no matter how radical and violent it gets, the MSM will not report it in a negative light — after spending months lying about the Tea Party folks and tarring them, with no justification, as a dangerous development for American politics. In fact, the only violence I’ve ever seen at any Tea Party rally has been perpetrated by leftist union thugs beating up a man who only wished to sell tiny Gadsden flags to Tea Partiers.
John Hinderaker at Powerline, who has more information on the 78-year-old woman who was assaulted by the OWS hooligans, sums up:
She rode from Detroit for 11 hours because AFP is a genuine grass-roots movement, unlike the Occupiers and their sugar daddies. But that is a relatively minor point. The Occupier movement stands for riot, assault, rape, vandalism, sexual harassment, public urination, public defecation and public masturbation. And Barack Obama owns it lock, stock and barrel. He has endorsed the Occupiers and never uttered a single word to distance himself from them. Their disgusting behavior should be hung around his neck like an anvil when he runs for reelection next year.
