At a Georgia Public Service Commission hearing December 18, 2012, one of the speakers said there were higher cancer rates downstream from the Savannah River due to the Plant Vogtle nuclear power plants. This is pure nonsense.
People who testify at hearings should be sworn in — for egregious lying, charge them with perjury.

A companion article by James Conca published in Forbes on January 11, 2013, states the Linear No Threshold theory on radiation is wrong and annual doses below 10 rem(100 milliSv) are not detrimental to health.
