The Department of Homeland Security is building a new headquarters in a mental hospital. Could anything be more appropriate for what is far and away the nation’s largest government agency with well over 200,000 employees who include the often surly, sometimes thieving and occasionally maniacal airport screeners who have made travel such an ordeal for so many? And no surprise here, the multi-billion dollar project is already over budget.
As if that weren’t enough, now comes news that the labor union that represents Internal Revenue Service workers is encouraging its members to write a letter in opposition to HB 1780, a bill that would have federal government workers use the Obamacare health insurance exchanges to buy health insurance. The exchanges would replace the Federal Employee Health Benefits program that currently provides insurance to Treasury Department employees, who include IRS workers.
So the people who will enforce the Obamacare health insurance mandate and its penalty “tax” against you and me and the rest of America oppose Obamacare for themselves.
Does anything more need be said?
