President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement will have no effect on the environment, since the treaty would not actually prevent future warming, but it will benefit the U.S. economically. The Paris agreement restricted domestic fossil fuel use, raising energy prices leaving U.S. industries and manufacturers at a competitive disadvantage with global economic and geopolitical competitors including China, India, and the U.S. Europe wants the U.S. to stay in the Paris agreement because its energy prices are sky high due to self-imposed climate and energy restrictions. Only if the U.S. follows their lead will Europe be able to compete in the U.S. China supports Paris because it imposes not restrictions on their energy use, but cripples the U.S. India supports Paris because it too continues to grow its emissions under Paris while being given billions of dollars in aid from the Green Climate fund established and funded in the treaty. This is not an environment treaty it is an economic agreement putting non-democratic political bureaucrats in charge of the world economy and huge wealth transfer scheme — the long-term dream of socialists made flesh.
