My good friend, American Greatness Managing Editor Ben Boychuk, and I recorded a podcast for Independence Day. He inspired me with his tradition to read the Declaration of Independence at July 4th observances, which he brought to my barbecue years ago.
We talk about that tradition, the revolutionary nature of that Declaration, the philosophers who inspired the Founders, why “the pursuit of happiness” is essential to securing liberty, John Adams’ letters to his wife Abigail, how Calvin Coolidge was among the 20th century’s greatest presidents, reading recommendations, and more.
Thanks, Ben, for such a fun and informative conversation.
