On August 16, Lennie Jarratt, project manager for the Center for Transforming Education at The Heartland Institute was interviewed on the Illinois Channel. The interview centered on how tax-credit scholarships fund education choice through private donations, incentivized via tax credits. Jarratt explained how tax-credit scholarships work, how they differ from vouchers, how they have worked in other states, and how it saves the states money allowing states to increase education funding. He also discussed how long Heartland has been working on transforming education in Illinois mentioning the Illinois Plan.
