Aouste is a graduate from DePaul University with a BA in Political Science. While studying he participated in the Fund for American Studies program in Washington D.C. Prior to joining Heartland in 2015, he was a staff intern on Bruce Rauner’s successful Illinois gubernatorial campaign. Aouste resides in Hainseville, Illinois.

On December 10, Research Director Edward Hudgins was a guest on The Ross Kaminsky Show on iHeartRadio to discuss the recent proposed reforms to the United States Postal Service. A report titled “United States Postal Service: A Sustainable Path Forward” was sent out last week, looking into how Amazon and other companies use and supposedly abuse the service. As Hudgins explains:
The big success story in this country in the last couple of decades has been e-commerce … the idea of ‘let’s go after one of the great success stories’ in this country is kind of nuts.
