Maybe The Heartland Institute never stood a chance against Peter Gleick, because DOJ already made up its mind that alarmists are the “good guys” and realists are the “bad guys” in the global warming debate. Maybe Gleick had political protection from the White House. Maybe political bias trumped justice?
Heartland and the scientists it works with have never promoted “denial of a changing climate.” The climate is always changing. The question is whether man’s contribution to climate change rises above statistical noise and whether it is a crisis.
Put “Spies Like Us” vintage Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd at the top of EPA rather than the top of CIA field operations, and you have an idea of how John Beale monumentally screwed up EPA climate policy and international climate negotiations.
Anyone who still thinks the environmental movement is based on real science or genuine concern for the environment or public health is either a fool or a “useful idiot” for the most extreme elements of the environmental left.
