Sea Level Rise – or Land Subsidence?
by Paul Driessen December 14, 2016Alarmist claims about rising seas inundating coastal areas blame the wrong culprit.

President Obama’s Tour to ‘Prove’ Global Warming Was a Miserable Failure
by James H. Rust September 23, 2015In an effort to stir up support for an economy-killing treaty from the UN Conference of the Parties-21 (COP-21) meeting in Paris this December, President Obama went on a recent whirlwind one-week tour promoting the global warming scare with many speeches, photo-ops, and newspaper columns.

New Science Contradicts Climate Alarmists’ Predictions of Global Warming Doom
by H. Sterling Burnett July 23, 2015For years I’ve been a naysayer, a skeptic, a realist, an optimist. Regardless of how you phrase it, I’ve consistently downplayed concerns that humans are causing catastrophic global warming. I based my skepticism on my understanding of the inaccuracies and inconsistencies in the climate models on which predictions of doom are based, as well as actual measured temperature data and other recorded evidence contradicting climate alarmists’ projections of the way things should be if humans were warming the planet.

James Taylor’s Polar Ice Article is Making Waves
by Donald Kendal May 29, 2015A recent article published by Forbes by Heartland Institute Senior Fellow James M. Taylor has been causing quite a stir. The article titled “Updated NASA Data: Global Warming Not Causing Any Polar Ice Retreat,” highlights the fact that global warming is not causing arctic melting that so many alarmists fear.

The Climate Alarmists’ Latest Argument About Polar Ice – And Why It’s Wrong
by James Taylor May 28, 2015Expanding polar ice caps are defying alarmist global warming claims, sending global warming alarmists into desperate damage control. Since late 2012, polar ice extent has averaged greater than the long term mean. When I pointed this out in a recent Forbes.com column, and after more than a quarter million people learned the truth by reading my column, the alarmists predictably began searching for ways to spin the expanding polar ice. Fortunately, the truth will always win out over scientifically unsupported spin and fearmongering.

The melting of glaciers is often cited as evidence mankind is causing global warming through carbon dioxide emissions. A corollary of this is that melting glaciers raise sea levels, which will reach catastrophic levels unless CO2 emissions are reduced. Adding to the massive evidence already refuting these assertions, a recent paper provides more accurate reconstruction of two centuries of previous data “by using many more stations, particularly in the polar regions, and recently processed historic data series from isolated island stations.”

If anyone could rationally be labeled climate change deniers, it is those who hold the absurd view that our climate was relatively tranquil until the arrival of humans. They seem to not know that half of North America was under a vast ice sheet only 22,000 years ago. And, as Patterson has written, “Ten thousand years ago… temperatures rose as much as 6 degrees Celsius in a decade — 100 times faster than the past century’s 0.6 degrees Celsius warming.”

Reaching 400 ppm of CO2 Is No Milestone
by Edmund Contoski May 13, 2013There is abundant evidence that global warming alarmism is false, but the Minneapolis Star-Tribune won’t print it. Heartland will, with data and charts to prove it.
