Progressive climate activists are taking to the streets nationally – and here in Arlington Heights too –to pressure public officials, including the governor, to act on climate change ahead[…]

New research has emerged showing the world’s oceans are cooling the planet by emitting vast amounts of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the atmosphere. These VOCs are not presently accounted[…]
Losing the climate science battle, climate alarmists want government to silence skeptics. They haven’t employed the thumb screws, rack or auto-da-fe that churches and states once used to interrogate, silence and eliminate heretics and witches. However, global warming alarmists are well practiced in the modern equivalents, to protect their $1.5-trillion Climate Crisis Industry.
The pope made headlines with his calls for action on climate change. USA Today touted: “Obama, Pope Francis praise each other on climate change.” In his September 23 speech from the White House lawn, the Pope addressed President Obama saying: “I find it encouraging that you are introducing an initiative for reducing air pollution.” Addressing that comment,Business Insider added: “He praised President Barack Obama for his proposals, which aim for the US to cut emissions by up to 28% over the next decade.”
In today’s edition of The Heartland Daily Podcast, H. Sterling Burnett, managing editor of Environment & Climate News speaks with E. Cal Beisner of the Cornwall Alliance. Beisner joins Burnett to discuss the nexus between ethics and environment issues and where he believes Pope Francis has gone wrong.
Just short years ago, climate alarmists were announcing, global warming meant the end of winter — with one scientist/pundit predicting school children would, within a decade, only experience snow from[…]
Modern climate alarmism was launched with the 2001 IPCC report featuring the now infamous “hockey stick” graph. This showed global temperature flat for 1,000 years and then soaring skywards from about 1900 onwards. There is just no way to say this politely – this graph was based on lies.
In today’s edition of The Heartland Daily Podcast, H. Sterling Burnett, managing editor of Environment & Climate News speaks with Norman Rogers. Rogers is a Heartland policy advisor and high tech businessman. Rogers joins Burnett to discuss climate change and the dangers of EMPs, or electro magnetic pulses.
In an effort to stir up support for an economy-killing treaty from the UN Conference of the Parties-21 (COP-21) meeting in Paris this December, President Obama went on a recent whirlwind one-week tour promoting the global warming scare with many speeches, photo-ops, and newspaper columns.
EMP or ElectroMagnetic Pulse is a disturbance that affects and sometimes destroys electrical and electronic devices. There are two kinds of EMP. A natural EMP is created by a storm on the sun that causes a cloud of particles to be ejected at high speed. If this cloud strikes the Earth it causes a natural EMP. There were important natural EMP’s in 1859, 1921, and 1989.
The Middle East is imploding. Islamic State butchers are annihilating Christian and other communities. Putin is sending arms to Assad. Under the Obama-Iran nuclear deal, the mullahs will get $100+ billion to expand their proxy terror war on Israel and the West. Saudi Arabia has 100,000 empty air-conditioned tents but won’t take any of the millions who’ve been driven from their homes. Neither will most of the other 22 Arab League nations or 57 Organization of Islamic Cooperation member countries.
Quite a few GOP 2016 presidential candidates have responded “I am not a scientist” which may come back to haunt them in the future. This GOP response is unsatisfactory because political candidates should be aware of important issues. In particular about climate change; where the Democrat Party’s response is overturning our entire energy supply system by abandoning our abundant, inexpensive, and geographically distributed fossil fuels of coal, oil, and natural gas. The U. S. is the most blessed nation on the planet with abundant fossil fuels.
Following a directive from Christie, New Jersey’s commissioner of environmental protection, Bob Martin, wrote EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy requesting a stay of implementation and a proceeding for reconsideration of CPP.
A more conciliatory message on the virtues of capitalism from Pope Francis would be regarded as a welcome counterbalance to the collectivist hyperbole emanating from some of his advisors and one that would help heal the Vatican’s emerging rift with many Catholics.
California Governor Jerry Brown (D) apparently now fancies himself as a science policy advisor of sorts to the GOP Presidential campaign field for 2016. On Wednesday, Gov. Moonbeam, former consort of[…]
