In today’s edition of The Heartland Daily Podcast, Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) joins the show to talk about the subpoena the science committee issued to state AGs and environmental groups to gain access to documents showing how they collaborated in their persecution through investigations of climate skeptics.
Radical environmentalists have convinced the global elite the greatest threat to mankind is the changing climate produced by the burning of fossil fuels. It has become the dogma of much of the nation’s establishment, even though replacing fossil fuel with medieval technologies of wind, solar, and biomass is not feasible now and won’t be in the foreseeable future. No one has told the true story of the world’s, and particularly the United States’, vast, inexpensive nonpolluting fossil fuels as Stephen Moore and Kathleen Hartnett White have in their new book, Fueling Freedom: Exposing the Mad War on Energy. Every high school student currently being bombarded by green lies should read this book. The authors’ lucid, precise, comprehensive, yet simple writing style can help set the world back on a course toward energy sanity.
This is a book about conspiracy, partially before our eyes and partially hidden from view. It is an attempt by hundreds of the world’s most elite power brokers to place the world beneath a single government which they pompously believe would make for a better life though one with little freedom or choice. He is of course speaking broadly of the infamous Trilateral Commission, a subject he covered in far greater detail in two previous books.
The Zika virus is increasingly linked to serious neurological complications for pregnant women and microcephaly in newborns: smaller than normal heads and brains. It also affects areas of fetal brains that control basic muscular, motor, speech and other functions, leading to severe debilities that require expensive care throughout a person’s life.
The media is spreading catastrophic global warming news from satellite temperature data ending February 2016. On March 3, 2016, the University of Alabama-Huntsville (UAH) posted the February 2016 global temperature of 0.83 degrees C. surpassed the previous record of 0.74 degrees C. for April 1998. These temperatures are the difference from the 30-year average from 1981 to 2010. This is a data set from 1979 until present when satellite temperature measurements were first made.
Hillary Clinton’s “trustworthiness” problem is fed by a long history of “varying credibility,” as a recent Politico story delineated, including cattle-futures trading, law firm billing records, muddled sniper fire recollections and e-mail use.
Politicians, international bureaucrats, radical environmental activists, and bought-and-paid-for government scientists recently gathered in Paris to shape a climate change treaty less about fighting climate change and more about ensuring the existence of an ongoing flow of big-dollar research grants to researchers and activist organizations and greater control of the world economy for politicians and bureaucrats.
What we have learned in the last two months is that Google is much more worried than it says about the risks it faces from a variety of real structural changes it may have to make in its core business overseas in the months and years ahead — where the vast majority of Google’s users are, and from where over 50% of its revenues come.
Earth, these authors tell us, has not “yet” reached this “this vanishing point of evolutionary history. But modern civilization already perturbs — if not dominates — various large-scale processes and components of the planet.”Dominates. They speak of a global “metabolism” of carbon and other elements, and of a global “anatomy” that is “largely a product of relentless socio-economic action.” Largely.
How is it moral to deny cheap energy for the poorest people on earth so that the elitists can enjoy nature at their pleasure? How is it moral for Christian teaching to place the earth above human beings?
Most of us on the center-right very much like free trade — for at least a couple of reasons. The freer trade is, the cheaper the things traded are. Which makes life easier for everyone in the nations engaged in said trade.
In an effort to get America off of fossil fuels, “free” solar and wind energy is often touted as the solution. However, in reality, the so-called free energy has high costs and does little to minimize fossil-fuel use or cut greenhouse gases.
The Farm Bill is a bane of we Conservatives’ existence – and Reality-based policymaking. It is a relic of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR)’s horrendously failed New Deal – a top-down, central-planning nightmare mess.
