John Nothdurft and Donny Kendal present episode #71 of the In The Tank Podcast. This weekly podcast features (as always) interviews, debates, and roundtable discussions that explore the work of think tanks across the country. The show is available for download as part of the Heartland Daily Podcast every Friday. Today’s podcast features work from the Competitive Enterprise Institute, the National Center for Policy Analysis, and the Bluegrass Institute.
Policybot Featured Work of the Week
This week’s featured work comes form the Competitive Enterprise Institute. The extensive report titled, “Free to Prosper: A Pro-Growth Agenda for the 115th Congress,” breaks down a number of policies in several policy arenas that could usher in a new age of prosperity. The areas covered include Banking and Finance, Energy and Environment, Technology, and much more.
Other Think Tank Works
The next item is an article published by the National Center for Policy Analysis titled “Will Trump Really Kick 22 Million Off Health Insurance?” Donny and John discuss whether it is politically feasible to dismantle this massive health care system.
Next, John and Donny talk about how the state of Kentucky started off 2017 right by becoming the 27th state to adopt right-to-work legislation. Along with this, they also enacted several other pro-market reforms. The Bluegrass Institute praises the reforms.
The last item comes from overseas. The European Parliament passed in committee a resolution granting certain rights to advanced robots. Will this be enough to ward off a wave of Arnold-Schwarzenegger-type killbots?
