Education Next added homeschooling to this year’s poll on school reform. Forty-five percent of respondents supported homeschooling, while 34 percent opposed. To further break down these numbers, 26 percent strongly supported homeschooling and 16 percent strongly opposed it. To read the question text and for additional breakdowns, see pages 14 and 15 at http://educationnext.org/files/2017ednextpoll.pdf.
Approximately 2.3 million students are homeschooled, and that number is increasing each year. Stories included in this issue of Homeschool Monthly are from School Reform News, School Choice Weekly, Freedom Pub, and several other sources. |
