Donny Kendal, Jim Lakely and Justin Haskins present episode #145 of the In The Tank Podcast. This weekly podcast features (as always) interviews, debates, and roundtable discussions that explore the work of think tanks across the country. The show is available for download as part of the Heartland Daily Podcast every Friday. Today’s podcast features work from the Reason Foundation, The Heartland Institute, and the Illinois Policy Institute.
Donny, Jim and Justin start off the show with a discussion about Dominoes recent ad campaign where they are filling in potholes around their community.
A week after the release of the DOJ IG report, Donny, Jim and Justin talk about the revealed information and what it means about “the swamp” and the “deep state.”
Next, the trio talk about an article titled “Berkeley Declares a ‘Climate Emergency,’ Calls for Population Control.” The Berkeley City Council voted endorse a plan that “calls for a World War II-level mobilization effort to fight global warming.”
Branching off this the Berkeley story, they then talk about a recently produced Heartland Institute Policy Brief titled “The Social Benefits of Fossil Fuels.” This important Policy Brief presents the other side of the fossil fuel debate.
Last, they talk about a new proposal to break up the state of California into 3 states. And California isn’t the only state considering a move like this. The Illinois Policy Institute recently released an article titled “Illinois Lawmaker Proposes making Chicago its Own State.”
